What Makes The Schwinn 860 Treadmill Worth Considering?
- Good motor. With a 3.0 HP continuous duty motor, you should be able to get a good workout. Ideal for walkers and joggers.
- Portable design. The Schwinn 860 treadmill fold’s fairly easily with the hydraulic lift. It also comes with wheels to try and make it easy to transport.
- Adequate surface area of 20″ x 58″ inches. If you are under 6’2″ in height then jogging will not be a problem on this machine. Anyone taller or requiring a serious treadmill for running will need a 60″ running surface length.
- Includes a suspension deck that is good for the joints.#
- The treadmill weighs over 245lbs. This is one the heavier treadmills on the market. This means it is a very solid and stable machine. Make sure you know where the delivery will be made. Some delivery companies just deliver to the curb!

- No memory of flash drive so that you can save your progress each time you exercise.
- Not such a good warranty. You get 10 years on the motor, 10 years on the frame, 1 year on electronics, 1 year on parts, 3 months on wear parts, 3 months on labor. Some of the treadmill parts are only guaranteed for 3 months.
- The Schwinn 860 treadmill running surface may be too small for some users. It’s not a treadmill for all home users.
- Heavy machine, you’ll most probably need help with setting up
- The console panel display design can be improved upon. Compared to the Sole F85 treadmill it lacks quality design.
Schwinn 860 Treadmill – What We Think
The treadmill is fairly priced. $1300 is the current price on Amazon including free shipping. If you are looking for a treadmill that caters for walking and jogging, you’ll find this machine suitable. The manufacturers have not really backed their machine with a decent warranty. 3 months on labor and certain parts and 10 years on frame and motor is below standard in our opinion. It does have a decent motor, and an adequate running surface. There’s no mention of the roller size? Did the manufacturers leave this out intentionally because of poor quality?
Many treadmills over $1000 offer an MP3 player. This treadmill does not have this feature. The reviews have been positive but there are certainly improvements that can be made to the Schwinn 860 treadmill.
