The Lifespan 1200i represents good value. Priced at less than $1000, it has some strong features ideal for walking and jogging. It is fairly quiet which is ideal for the home or apartment. It allows you to track your progress using the Lifespan Fitness Membership. It is also offering a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, 3 years on parts and 1 year on labor. Having good warranty is important, just in case things go wrong.

Amazon ratings are very positive for this treadmill 4.5/5 stars. Having tried out the treadmill myself, I gave it a 4 star rating. I don’t just rate treadmills based on other opinions, I research and at most times try out the machine. Room For Improvement?

  • 2.5 HP motor is fairly standard for this price. It’s okay for walking and jogging, but not for serious running.
  • If you are on the heavy side, I know it says it can take up to 300lbs, but I would consider that as 280lbs.
  • No built in fan. Although most treadmill fans are not very powerful, it would have been good to have one built in.
  • The running surface of 20 by 56 inches is fairly standard. If you a fairly tall, you need to consider treadmills with a 60 inch surface.

Overall, the Lifespan TR 1200i folding treadmill offers good value for money. The machine weighs nearly 210lbs so it is easier to move around and fold. “I received this as a Christmas gift and I have to say I absolutely love the treadmill. The Lifespan TR 1200i folding treadmill is super quiet and is ideal for my 2nd floor town home. After using it for 3 weeks, I have had no complaints from the tenants below. I jog 4 days a week for around 45 minutes, so I have been using the treadmill quite regularly.

The suspension feels really good and makes my longer runs more manageable. The display console is very easy to use and has some very good features. You can connect an ipod to either the treadmill speakers or through your headphones. 

 The treadmill is sturdy and solid. I have no problems when I do light runs. I am able to put my magazine in the holder and read while running without the magazine being unclear to read. I have not nor do I think that i will ever use any of the preset programs as I like to just get on and go.

The USB feature is incredible…i have been reading more and more about the importance of logging and tracking the much greater success rate of achieving your goals when you track/log. There is ALOT that you can do with the online tool, right now I am just using the tracking and monitoring. The folding feature is very easy to use and very easy to fold. The heart rate monitoring is nice as I use my Garmin watch and strap and it works with my treadmill. It took six days to receive the treadmill from Amazon and was delivered by CEVA. The driver took the treadmill off the truck and up the elevator and to my door. I was intimidated by the prospect of assembly so I paid my maintenance man $50.00 to assemble…money well spent. I could not be happier with my Lifespan and would recommend this treadmill”.

“This has to be one of the best values on the market for $1000. It inclines to 15%, max. speed of 11 mph, handles up to a 300LB runner, and is built sound. I have ran over 30 miles the last three weeks and it has given me no problems. It handles my 200 pounds with ease and has the feel of a high quality gym treadmill. If you are looking for the best valued treadmill out there, this is it”!

“This treadmill is fantastic. It was easy to put together for two people. It took no more than an hour. The treadmill is quiet and it offers good impact absorption. My boyfriend has a bad back and this treadmill does not aggravate it when he jogs. I would say this treadmill gives the larger more expensive treadmills a run for their money.
